News - Sept 19, 2008

Great weather again at track day on September 19 and PB's tumbled. A special congratulations to Darren Hennig who is now the Fastest 2WD Car on all three tracks. His twin turbo V8 Supra is an amazing machine.

The EVO morning was a huge success with over 20 EVO's in attendance including a starter up from NSW for the event. Mark Rayner set some great PB's and is now 3rd fastest AWD on Sprint and Clubman tracks.

Time Attack Series Round 6 saw a closing up of points in divisions. There are only 2 rounds left now, and these are the bonus rounds you can use to drop a previous bad result for top points.

Next track day is on Thursday October 23, check the Calendar for full details and make sure you get in early !!

The results from Round 5 are now loaded into the image gallery. The Series Points and Hall of Fame will be updated very soon. Keep an eye on the site over the next few days. The track conditions must have been perfect as a lot of PB's were set. Congratulations guys.

The next event is fast approaching. Friday September 19. The EVO club is holding an event in the morning so if you drive an EVO and want to participate make sure you get booked in ASAP. It should be a good one.

First Annual Nissan Meeting:
The rain cleared up and the Nissan Meeting went ahead as planned. We had a full grid of cars including 31 Nissans. The event was huge, with Signature Performance running the dyno all afternoon, cars running the cones on the Motorkahna, the DJ’s playing music, Link International’s demo cars and trade displays, the SAU BBQ kept everyone fed and all the on track action. Crowd give-aways, driver prize packs, the limited edition event driver’s shirt and a special thanks to Russ and Mark for bringing out the R35 GTR for the crowds to drool on in the carpark then watch on the track.

A special thanks to all our sponsors. Seriously without sponsors events like this are not possible. These guys went to a lot of effort working with me over the last few months getting everything ready on time. Make sure you support them:

Want Oil: MOTUL (Signature Performance is also an authorized dealer)
Want Filters: BMC
Performance Parts: NISMO
Dyno Tuning, engine building and car mechanical: Signature Performance (these guys brought out their dyno for our event. They are committed to track side support)
Volunteers: Special thanks to the guys who give their time so we can all have fun. Make sure you thank these guys every time you’re there!!!
Great Guys: Russ and Mark. These guys are flat out at work but still took the time to bring their R35 GTR out for us. Thanks guys!
