LAKESIDE CHASSIS SHOOTOUT RULES - 2019

General Rules:

Street Class:

Track Tuned Class:

  1. Unless fitted as standard by the factory, the tyre must be no wider than 265 AWD and 295 for 2WD (printed on the tyre).
  2. Swapping of OEM components between the grouped vehicle models is permitted (e.g. all components from any R32 GTR, R33 GTR, R34 GTR, can be swapped).
  3. The fitment of factory options (such as rear wings) that we originally not originally optioned is permitted.
  4. Aftermarket replica copies of factory components are permitted, unless covered by another rule.
  5. The exhaust must be rear exiting (behind the rear wheel) with no screamer pipes.
  6. Must have OEM glass. This includes all windows in the car.
  7. Must have OEM doors. Removal of door cards is permitted.
  8. Must have OEM full dash including center console, glove box and lower dash trim.
  9. Additional aftermarket gauges are permitted.
  10. Aftermarket front seats are permitted. Removal of the passenger seat and rear seats is permitted.
  11. Must not have in cabin adjustable brake bias or aftermarket pedal box.
  12. Must have the engine as fitted by the manufacture, with the same capacity and configuration. No engine conversions are allowed unless the engine is available in the group of vehicles models (e.g. any RB26DETT can be used in a R32 GTR, R33 GTR, R34 GTR). (Stroker kits are allowed. E.g. RB26DETT fitted with an HKS 2.8 Stroker kit).
  13. Adding forced induction to a naturally aspirated engine is permitted.
  14. Changing the boost level or turbo/super charger is permitted.
  15. High mount turbo conversions are permitted.
  16. External turbo waste gates are permitted when plumbed back into the exhaust.
  17. Dry sump conversions are permitted. The fitment of an Accusump is permitted.
  18. Roll cages are permitted.
  19. Boot liner can be removed.
  20. Removal of the back seats is permitted.
  21. Interior of the car can be stripped (except items covered by another rule)
  22. Wide body guards are permitted for bigger tyres and/or brakes, as long as the hubs remain in the original position.
  23. Wheel spacers of up to 30mm are permitted.
  24. No aftermarket sequential shifters, short shifters are acceptable.
  25. Brake caliper upgrades are permitted.
  26. Two-piece brake rotors are permitted.
  27. Fitment of passive brake cooling ducts is permitted.
  28. No aftermarket sequential race gear boxes are permitted.
  29. Camber, castor, toe adjustment and control arms is permitted.
  30. Fully adjustable shock absorbers and coil overs are permitted.
  31. Springs can be changed.
  32. Basic aerodynamic aids must adhere to the following rules:
    1. Bonnet vents for engine cooling are permitted. Aftermarket bonnets are permitted to fit cooling ducts.
    2. Basic air dams are permitted.
    3. Dual element rear wings are permitted. Rear wings may be no wider than the widest point of the OEM body (side mirrors excluded).
    4. The highest part of the rear wing must be located no higher than the highest part of the OEM roofline. Except in the case of a hatchback where the wing can be no higher than 150mm from the highest point of the wing to the roofline and must be on the rear portion of the roof.
    5. The rear most edge of the rear wing may be located no further back than the rear most part of the OEM vehicle (exhaust excluded).
    6. Front splitters/under-trays if fitted may not project more than 50mm forward of the OEM bodywork and no further back than the center line of the front axle.
    7. A ground clearance of 80mm between the wheel base.
    8. Front canards may extend no further than 50mm from the maximum width of the OEM bodywork.
    9. Rear diffusers are permitted but must not start further forward than the rear axle center line and cannot got wider or further back than the OEM bodywork. The floor pan must not be cut away to fit the diffuser.

Performance Class:

  1. The tyres must be Treaded R Compound Semi Slicks. Grooved semi slicks, grooved slicks or full slicks are not permitted.
  2. The exhaust must exit behind the driverís door, with screamer pipes permitted.
  3. Must have OEM front window glass, all other windows must be installed but can be non-glass.
  4. Must have OEM doors. The door cards and inner door skins can be removed. The structure must remain.
  5. Aftermarket front seats are permitted. Removal of the passenger seat and rear seats is permitted.
  6. Must have basic dash in place (center console (arm rest), glove box and lower items can be removed).
  7. Full aftermarket instruments are permitted.
  8. Must have basic interior in the front half of the cabin (removal of carpet, stereo etc and liner allowed).
  9. In-cabin adjustable brake bias is permitted. Aftermarket pedal boxes are allowed. Balance bars are permitted on the pedal box.
  10. Must have the engine as fitted by the manufacture, with the same capacity and configuration. No engine conversions are allowed unless the engine is available in the group of vehicles models (e.g. any RB26DETT can be used in a R32 GTR, R33 GTR, R34 GTR). (Stroker kits are allowed. E.g. RB26DETT fitted with an HKS 2.8 Stroker kit).
  11. Wide body guards are permitted for wider tyres and bigger brakes, as long as the hubs remain in the original position.
  12. No modification to the structure of the vehicle such as removal of sections of metal from the chassis to reduce weight or for aerodynamic advantage. Removal of front members to fit larger intercoolers and radiators is permitted.
  13. Must have the same suspension geometry as the original manufactured car. Pick up points cannot be moved. Adjustable suspension components are permitted.
  14. Basic aerodynamic aids must adhere to the following rules:
    1. Bonnet vents for engine cooling are permitted. Aftermarket bonnets are permitted to fit cooling ducts.
    2. Basic air dams are permitted.
    3. Dual element rear wings are permitted.
    4. Rear wings may be no wider than 100mm per side wider than the widest point of the OEM body (side mirrors excluded).
    5. The highest part of the rear wing must be located no higher than 250mm higher than the highest part of the OEM roofline.
    6. The rear most edge of the rear wing may be located no further back 100mm rearward of the rear most part of the OEM vehicle (exhaust excluded).
    7. Front splitters/under-trays if fitted may project no farther forward than 150mm beyond the adjacent bodywork or the vertical projection of the OEM bodywork and no further back than the front axle centerline of the vehicle.
    8. The lowest part of the front splitter/under-tray may be no lower than 75mm from the ground.
    9. Front canards may extend no further than 100mm from adjacent bodywork or beyond the vertical projection of the OEM body work.
    10. Rear diffusers are permitted provided: a) they do not extend beyond the tip of the exhaust or b) they are completely contained within the vertical projection of the original vehicle.

Rulings and Decisions:

  1. If you are unsure of something, check in advance.
  2. The final classification of all cars will be at the discretion of the check in crew. No discussion will be entered.
  3. The organiser's decision shall be final. No dispute shall be entered.
  4. Event management reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone or ask anyone to leave an event without prior notice.
