Garry's Red VT Track Car 2 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
As most of you will know I had a big off at the Wednesday Afternoon Sprints back in February which resulted in my blue VT suffering some pretty serious front end damage, not to mention my time to hospital. I am pretty much fully recovered at this stage and been back to two track days since May.

Well it has been repaired (re-bodied) into this Red VT with all the original running gear transferred over. There has been a bit of fine tuning of things, but now it is back as good if not better than it was.

Specs:
2000 VT HSV R8
Engine
6 litre L76 , extractors, twin 2.5 or 3.0, mid 220s cam, mild head work
RWHP >435@6800
RWTQ >550@5200
Tune by Chris at Western Suburbs Mechanical

Brakes: about to change but currently
343mm Harrop front and rear
Front Pads Pagid RS14, RS15, RS29 depending on temps and number of laps planned on
Rear Pads Project Mu HC+

Suspension:
Custom made by Murray Coote Automotive
Front: 4 way adjustable remote canister, 50mm struts, 650-750 lb/in King racing springs
Rear: 4 way adjustable remote canister, 1000lb/in King racing springs

Instrumentation:
Original Holden dash supplemented by Racepak IQ3 race dash and data logger

Body:
6 point welded in cage with cross bracing in all areas
Air jacks fitted
VT Supercar rear wing, bootlid and bumper
Waiting for new VT Supercar front and sideskirts
Currently running R8 front bumper
Interior stripped of anything I could, except air conditioning, it gets hot in that pit lane in Summer.

Tyres:
Yokohama A048 Semi comps for Timeattack Series events
Michelin 240/640x18 slicks
Dunlop 23/64x18 slicks
Dunlop 235/45x17 slicks

Will put up a photo once I can resize small enough for here.

Cheers,

Garry
