What is Track Day?

The day is run as a timed sprint event, where cars are spaced equally on the track, and overtaking is only allowed under controlled conditions (see track day rules).

All car makes and models are welcome. Each session on the track is made up of cars with similar lap times to minimize overtaking.

The events are held at Queensland Raceway which is on Champions Way, just off the Cunningham Highway near Ipswich. Approximately 20 minutes drive from the intersection of the Western Freeway and Ipswich Motorways.

You will require a Queensland Raceway AASA license which costs about $55 (annual) and can be bought on the day.

Track Sessions

Generally there will be 10 cars per set on the track, with 4 sets of cars per ½ day (approx only 40 cars) 

Under normal conditions you can expect to get 4 to 5 sessions on the track for a half day (pending conditions).

Electronic Timing

Track Day uses the transponder based electronic timing system.

At the end of each session a printout of the lap times will be available.
