| PIZZA NIGHT – SOCIAL SIDE OF TIME ATTACK
The pizza / awards night we had a few weeks ago was a huge success. Nearly 50 people made it and there were stories and laughter for hours. It was pointed out that back in the beginning we used to run several pizza nights a year. To bring back that side of what we do, there will be more pizza nights this year. They are always great fun and I hope to see you there.

| WORLD TIME ATTACK – QLD TEAM TEST SCHEDULE
To support the QLD contingent that head to Eastern Creek for World Time Attack each year with the toughest cars in the country, I am putting forward a proposed test schedule to aid in the preparation.
July 19 – The PM session will feature the Sprint track and the National track for high speed testing. (The AM session is the Annual Nissan Event, WTAC cars will be allowed to book in).
July 25 – Listed on the Qld Raceway calendar as Private Booking (and not listed on my calendar), I have booked the PM session solely for Cars preparing for World Time Attack. This will be run purely as a test session, allowing cars on and off the track all afternoon to test setups. We will control the pit lane track entry to keep the event safe, but drivers will be able to go out for a few laps, come in make adjustments and head back out.
If you want to run on this day, please register your interest now. The cost will be determined by the number of entrants, but will be capped to around 10-15 to ensure the testing flows.
If you are preparing for World Time Attack please aim for these dates, having test time on a new car makes a huge difference to performance at an event. Get the bugs out, and get the setup close so you can fine tune down there and put down the times.

| TIME ATTACK R32 GTR – MY CAR J
I am very happy to announce that GT AUTO Garage have taken over the build of my R32 GTR. They have stripped the car and have rebuilt it from the ground up, including a brand new race engine, fuel system and all associated fabrication. On hearing about the build, other sponsors have come on board including MTQ Engine Systems Australia, NPC Clutch, Project Mu, Fulcrum and Yokohama. The car is looking incredible, there will be a full write up on it on the Time Attack site once it is finished.

| TYRE TEMP SENSORS
I am currently working with the STZ Auto guys on a tyre temp sensor project. The device measures three temp points across the face of a tyre so you can see the thermal profile as you race. These are available now but the cost is out of reach of most guys. STZ have offered their RX-7 WTAC car as a test platform and we should have these testing very shortly.

| EM PRO II – RUZIC ENGINEERING NEW ENGINE MONITOR
I have had a lot of enquires about my Engine Monitor project, the EM PRO II. This device monitors the vital signs of your engine and gives you instant alarms of any problems. It can watch Water Temp, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure, Boost Pressure, Intake Temp, RPM – Two stage shift lights and has two smart alarms. You can tie boost pressure to fuel pressure so you get the correct alarm and not just when you have total fuel pressure loss and the same with Oil Pressure. There are 4 points that are tied to RPM, as you know you want higher oil pressure at higher RPM. I am building 10 of these now and it is in my car, so if you are interested come and have a look at the track or email for more info.

| GTR – RUZIC ENGINEERING 4WD CONTROLLER VERSION 2
The rumours are true, I have been developing the second generation of my GTR 4WD Controller. The first one was a huge success with guys getting 1sec a lap straight out of the box. The controller allows you to tune the way the AWD computer reacts to cornering g forces. When racing it feels like you are dynamically adjusting the under / oversteer making the car exit corners the way you want. This becomes particularly important when you have changed the power and handling characteristics of the car.
The version 2 unit has a new screen and with the addition of a GPS unit, you can setup 6 points around the track where the unit will change the tune to the way you want before you get to the corner. For example at QR, as you went down the straight the GPS would detect your set point and change the handling into turn 1 and 2, then the GPS would detect your next set point before the cross over and adjust to your new setting to flick the car through those corners. Etc. The unit will also have lap times and sector times for post lap analysis.

| DRIVER TRAINING
I’m not sure if everyone noticed, but this year the classroom session of the driver training is free for beginners. Time Attack has always welcomed new guys to the track and we want to make sure you get off to a safe fun start. If you do the classroom session you can then book the in car tutorial for an additional $80. Spaces are limited to 4 per half day.
